General

This privacy policy describes the processing and use of your data by this website’s owner, Martin Richter (hereinafter also referred to as "I" or "me"). It does so in accordance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Server logs

Whenever you browse this website, certain information such as the requested page, timestamp, browser version, operating system, and IP address are logged on the website’s server. This data is only kept as a record of potential misuse and to mitigate and fix errors as they occur. It is not actively used for any purpose, or shared with any third parties.

Analytics

This website collects anonymized data to learn how many people visit this site, what blog posts are the most popular, etc. In practice, this means I only see that someone has visited a page, but not who it was. All analytics data is self-hosted using the open-source software Countly, and not transferred to any third-party company. If you nevertheless want to opt out from analytics on this site permanently, you can do so by clicking here.

Contact form

When you submit the contact form, its contents are emailed to me via the SendGrid service, operated by Sendgrid, Inc. (1801 California Street, Suite 500, Denver, CO 80202). For more information on how your data is processed on SendGrid’s side, please consult their privacy policy and email policy.

Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, your rights as a user include:

  • the right to inquire what data has been stored about you,
  • the right to correct any data stored about you,
  • the right to ask for deletion of any of your data.
